Frequently asked questions

What PHP version is required?
It should work with any. I tested it on a WAMP server using 5.0.2 and on a LAMP using 4.4.1

Does PHPmyEasyweather work with a MySQL database?
Currently not, but in a further version it will be implemented

From where does PHPmyEasyweather get its weather information?
PHPmyEasyWeather makes usage of information presented by NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS). Information presented there is considered public information and may be distributed or copied.

New in Ver 1.01: PHPmyEasyWeather buffers received data so it has not to connect NOAA's server every time when data is needed for the same airport. Buffering time depends on custom settings.

Is it possible to add airports / weather stations?
Principally yes, but for adding a weather station you have to do this in a lot of files and therefore its easy to create your own bugs. So I propose if you have the absolute desire to have an airport included in the next version send me its information: airport-name, country, ICAO-code and timezone is needed.

The buffering functions does not work, what is wrong?
You have to chmod the two directorys which are contained in "buffer/" by the value 777 ("chmod 777 taf" and "chmod 777 metar").
